The Drewsland CDC Benevolent Society community meeting descended in total chaos, as it was marred by unruly behavior by persons in attendance.
The meeting was held at the Psalm Ave Complex last night (July 25).
Elections were on the agenda but with the absence of an audited report and no proper structure in place, it was not held.
As the bickering and cross talking grew louder, the meeting took a turn for the worst. Some members openly accused others of stealing from the organization.
In the midst of the confusion Roots New spoke with the President of the Drewsland CDC Deloris Treasure to find out what were the underline problems affecting the CDC
Following the ill-fated meeting President Deloris Treasure announced that she will be stepping down as President.
In doing so, she outlined her achievement with projects she implemented over the years, some at her own expense.
She was first elected in 1994 then step down in 2002 and was re-elected in 2004
