The residents of Mahoe Drive and White Wing in Seivwright Gardens, St Andrew are pleading for help from their Member of Parliment Portia Simpson Miller to fix the issue of raw sewage that runs through the community.
The sewage is running along a section of Mahoe Drive, on to White wing then on to Olympic way.
A number of business operators in the community have been affected by the water because of the smell that is associated with it. The operator of Howie’s Bicycle Repairs and Gym told Roots news that his customers are complaining about the stench coming from the water that is right at the front of his business place. “This place a Portia place, so something must be done about it”, Howie said.
And the situation is made worst for the motoring public, especial taxis, that ply the half way tree to three miles route. The water that runs onto the road caused extensive damage to the road in the White Wing community.
